PADI Instructor Development Courses (IDCs) prepare candidates for work
as PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors. Candidates gain instructor-level knowledge of scuba theory, model-level water and rescue skills, and leadership abilities, learning how to teach in confined water, in the classroom, and in open water. During the IDC, Instructor Candidates gain a full understanding of PADI’s educational objectives and philosophy.

Candidates who complete the Instructor Development Course (IDC) will obtain the necessary knowledge and certification to teach PADI diving courses from Open Water to DiveMaster.

Course requirements
  • PADI Divemaster, PADI Assistant Instructor or equivalent levels
  • Certification in first aid and CPR not exceeding two years
  • 18 years old
  • Have certified at least 100 dives.
  • Have 6 months as a diver
